Recalls are issued for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Manufacturers or importers seek to inform the original buyer if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. However, manufacturers or importers may not have the contact details of subsequent owners. Please note that the recalls below are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2018-21 Bentley Flying Spur: trim could keep accelerator pedal depressed

In July 2021, recall campaign RE21/23 (RC05) was issued for 2018-21 Bentley Flying Spur vehicles. Due to inconsistent fitment of the fuse box and the electrical harness, the A-post lower trim could protrude into the vehicle’s cabin, reducing clearance to the accelerator pedal. If the accelerator pedal was fully depressed whilst driving and unable to return to its resting position, the vehicle would continue to accelerate, even when the driver’s foot was removed from the accelerator pedal. This condition increased the risk of losing vehicle control and a collision, also increasing the risk of injury for vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-001669.
