2022-23 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: missing certification label for charging cables

In May 2024, recall campaign 24C07 was issued for 2022-23 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. For these vehicles, the charge cables were missing the required Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) certification label that was specified by the Electrical Equipment Safety Systems / Australian Communications Media Authority, EESS/ACMA (RCM AS/NZA 4417.1). While there was no safety hazard associated with this recall, the vehicles did not meet the required standards due to the absence of the label. For this recall, an authorised Ford dealer was to replace the charge cable at no cost. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005971.

2023-24 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: rear-view camera may not display when reversing

In June 2025, recall campaign 25S49 was issued for 2023-2024 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Due to a software issue, the rear-view camera may not display the rear-view image whilst reversing. If this occurred, it could increase the risk of a collision and serious injury to persons behind the vehicle. To fix, an authorised Ford dealer was to update the vehicle’s software. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006358.

2023-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: doors could remain closed in certain circumstances

In July 2025, recall campaign 25S65 was issued for 2023-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Due to a software issue, if the occupants exited the driver and/or front passenger doors using the interior mechanical release handles when the 12 volt battery was discharged and the doors were in “lock” status, the doors could remain locked when they were closed again. If this occurred, the key fob, interior and exterior door handles would not unlock the doors. An occupant who remained inside a locked vehicle and was unable to use an inside door release handle may not be able to exit or be retrieved from the vehicle, posing a risk of injury or death. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006386.

2025 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: headlights, position lamps and daytime running lamps may not work

In September 2025, recall campaign 25C39 was issued for 2025 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Due to a programming issue, the Light Emitting Diode Drive Control Module (LDM) may fail. As a result, the high beam, low beam, position lamps and daytime running lamps may not operate as intended. This could reduce the driver’s visibility and other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions, thereby increasing the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. If the vehicle was experiencing this problem, a warning message would appear and the turn signal indicator would flash rapidly in the instrument panel cluster. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006417.

2023-25 Ford Mustang Mach-E: not compliant with Australian Design Rule 81/02

In October 2025, recall campaign 25C47 was issued for 2023-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. For these vehicles, incorrect fuel consumption and emission data was printed on the fuel consumption label. Since this did not affect the vehicle’s performance, was no safety hazard associated with this recall. However, the vehicles were not compliant with Australian Design Rule 81/02 – Fuel Consumption Labelling for Light Vehicles. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006453.

2024-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E: headlights and daytime running lamps could fail

In February 2026, recall campaign 25C71 was issued for 2024-25 Ford CX727 Mustang Mach-E vehicles. Due to a potential fault in the Light Emitting Diode (LED) Driver Control Module (LDCM), the module may fail. As a result, the high beam, low beam, position lamps and daytime running lamps may not operate as intended. The driver’s visibility could therefore be reduced and other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions – these circumstances increased the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. If the fault occurred, a warning message would appear and the turn signal indicator would flash rapidly in the instrument cluster. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006538.
