2023-24 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupe: fuse box defect could cause power loss or fire
In March 2024, recall campaign RC3270 was issued for 2023-24 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupes. Due to a manufacturing defect, vehicle management systems connected to the fuse box may fail. If this occurred, it could cause a sudden loss of motive power (i.e. drive) and/or a vehicle fire. These conditions could increase the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and the risk of damage to property. To fix, an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer was to replace the fuse box. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005923.
2023-25 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupe: high-voltage starter generator overload
In March 2025, recall campaign RC5131 was issued for 2023–2025 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupe 63 S vehicles. Due to a software issue, the high-voltage starter generator may experience an intermittent overload, which could deactivate certain functions. If this occurred, the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion whilst driving – this increased the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006318.
2023-25 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupe: potential loss of steering control
In August 2025, recall campaign RC5170 was issued for 2022-25 Mercedes-AMG C254 GLC Coupes. Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering coupling bolts may not have met specifications and could become loose. This could result in a loss of steering control, which could increase the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006414.
