2023-24 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class: fuse box defect could cause power loss or fire

In March 2024, recall campaign RC3270 was issued for 2023-24 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class Sedans. Due to a manufacturing defect, vehicle management systems connected to the fuse box may fail. If this occurred, it could cause a sudden loss of motive power (i.e. drive) and/or a vehicle fire. These conditions could increase the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and the risk of damage to property. To fix, an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealer was to replace the fuse box. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005923.

2023 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class Sedan: side airbags may not deploy

In July 2024, recall campaign RC5030 was issued for 2023 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class Sedans with code 555. Due to operation of the seat backrest, the driver and passenger side airbag wiring harnesses may be damaged over time by seat adjustment. The side airbags that were installed in the seats may therefore not deploy as intended if a collision occurred, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006007.

2022 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class Sedan: loss of propulsion and fire hazard

In July 2024, recall campaign RC5036 was issued for 2022 Mercedes-AMG W206 C-Class Sedans. Due to a manufacturing issue, a retaining screw between the vehicle’s electrical wiring and the fuse box – located in the front passenger footwell – may not have been sufficiently tightened. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion whilst driving. Additionally, electrical resistance in the wiring could increase and cause a vehicle fire. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006026.

2023 Mercedes-AMG W206 C43 and C63 S: fuse box may fail and cause loss of motive power or fire

In May 2025, recall campaign RC5149 was issued for 2023 Mercedes-AMG W206 C43 and C63S vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, vehicle management systems connected to the fuse box may have fail. If this occurred, it could cause a sudden loss of motive power and/or a vehicle fire. Certain vehicles that had previously had this recall rectification carried out may have been fitted with an incorrect replacement part. To fix, owners were to contact an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the fuse box replaced free of charge. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006349.
