2024 Peugeot P54 408: door control unit software may malfunction

In March 2025, recall campaign MUV was issued for 2024 Peugeot P54 408 GT Fastback vehicles. Due to a software issue, the Door Control Unit (DCU) for the driver’s and front passenger’s doors may not operate as intended. This could prevent the doors from locking or unlocking, the exterior mirrors from folding or adjusting, and the door windows from auto reversing. In addition, if the vehicle had been parked for an extended period, the transmission may lock in the “Park” position such that the vehicle cannot be driven. In the event of an emergency, or the vehicle getting locked in “Park”, the driver and/or passenger could exit the vehicle using the internal and external door handles. A malfunction of the door windows’ auto reversing function was potentially non-compliant with Australian Design Rule (ADR) 42/05 – General Safety Requirements. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006292.

2024-25 Peugeot P54 408 GT Fastback HEV: fuel leak from connection between fuel pump and rail

In July 2025, recall campaign MXZ was issued for 2024-25 Peugeot P54 408 GT Fastback HEV vehicles with automatic transmissions. Due to a manufacturing defect, the threaded connection between the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel rail may become loose. This could cause a fuel leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire – this posed a risk of injury to vehicle occupants, other road users and/or damage to property. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006397.
