Recalls: Skoda NX Octavia RS

2020–24 Skoda NX Octavia RS: heat shield may be incorrectly fitted and affect braking

In February 2024, recall campaign 47U5 was issued for 2020–24 Skoda NX Octavia RS vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the heat shield between the brake master cylinder and the exhaust may have been fitted incorrectly. This could cause the connection to the brake fluid reservoir to melt. If this occurred, brake fluid may leak and reduce braking performance. Furthermore, if brake fluid leaked onto a hot exhaust pipe, it could cause a vehicle fire.
