Please note that the recalls below (if any) are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2022-24 Audi FW e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT: high-voltage battery cell modules could short circuit

In June 2024, recall campaign 931B was issued for 2022-24 Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, cell modules installed in the high-voltage battery may be defective. This could cause a short circuit, which could cause a thermal overload and vehicle fire. A vehicle fire posed a risk of injury to occupants, other road users, and bystanders, as well as a risk of damage to property. An authorised Audi dealer could conduct an initial check to determine whether the cell modules were defective. Until the recall works were performed, owners were asked to charge the high-voltage battery to no more than 80% of its capacity to minimise the potential risk and protect the battery. Owners who had had their vehicle rectified under a previous REC-005977 recall were required to have their vehicle’s software updated. Furthermore, owners were urgently asked to temporarily charge their high-voltage battery to a maximum of 80% to minimise the risk and protect the battery. Owners of affected vehicles were advised to contact their preferred authorised Audi dealer to have a free software update performed. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005977.

2022-24 Audi FW e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT: front axle brake hoses could leak

In October 2024, recall campaign 47UP was issued for 2022-24 Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the front axle brake hoses may deteriorate over time. If this occurred, it could lead to leaking brake fluid and reduced braking performance. This condition increased the risk of a collision and therefore injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006094.
