2023-24 Honda FL5 Civic Type R: Electronic Power Steering system and reduced assistance

In November 2024, recall campaign 6JP was issued for 2023-24 Honda FL5 Civic Type R vehicles. In these vehicles, the worm wheel grease may be displaced over time. If this occurred, the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system may not operate as intended – this could result in abnormal steering noises and greater effort being required to steer the vehicle. As such, this condition increased the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and others road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006150.
