Recalls: Mercedes-Benz X294 EQE SUV

2023 Mercedes-Benz X294 EQE SUV: battery may deactivate and cause loss of drive

In June 2024, recall campaign RC5029 was issued for 2023 Mercedes-Benz X294 EQE SUVs. In these vehicles, a software issue in the Battery Management System (BMS) may cause the high voltage battery to deactivate. If this occurred, the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion whilst driving, thereby increasing the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. 2022-25 Mercedes-Benz X294 EQE SUV: potential loss of steering control

In August 2025, recall campaign RC5170 was issued for 2022-25 Mercedes-Benz X294 EQE SUV vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering coupling bolts may not have met specifications and could become loose. This could result in a loss of steering control, which could increase the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.
