Recalls: Mercedes-Benz X296 EQS SUV

2023 Mercedes-Benz X296 EQS SUV: battery may deactivate and cause loss of drive
In June 2024, recall campaign RC5029 was issued for 2023 Mercedes-Benz X296 EQS SUVs. In these vehicles, a software issue in the Battery Management System (BMS) may cause the high voltage battery to deactivate. If this occurred, the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion whilst driving, thereby increasing the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.
