2021-22 Mitsubishi ZM Outlander: display may not show rear-view camera image
In April 2024, recall campaign 010174 was issued for 2021-22 Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles. Due to a software issue with the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) unit, the rear-view camera display may not display the rear camera image as intended. If this occurred while reversing, it could increase the risk of a collision and injury to persons behind teh vehicle. To fix, a Mitsubishi Motors dealer was to update the IVI software. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-005938.
2022–2023 Mitsubishi ZM Outlander Exceed and Exceed Tourer: steering wheel touch sensors may be defective
In April 2025, recall campaign 010175 was issued for 2022–2023 Mitsubishi ZM Outlander Exceed and Exceed Tourer vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the steering wheel touch sensors may be defective. As a result, the vehicle may not accurately detect the driver’s hands on the steering wheel and the MI-PILOT system may not operate as intended.
