2018-19 Suzuki GJ/JJ Jimny: fuel pump may stop working and cause engine to stall

In March 2024, recall campaign SSR29 was issued for 2018-19 Suzuki Gj/JJ Jimny vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may swell and cause the fuel pump to stop working. If this occurred, the engine could stall, resulting in a sudden loss of power. If this occurred whilst driving, it could increase the risk of a collision and injury for vehicle occupants and other road users. To fix, a Suzuki dealer was to inspect and replace the fuel pump. For the VINs of the affected vehicles, please see REC-005927 and, for Queensland-delivered vehicles, please see REC-005929.
