Recalls: Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale

Recalls: Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale
2022-23 Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale: battery could overheat and cause fire
In September 2023, recall campaign 6624 was issud for 2022-23 Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the 48 volt battery was susceptible to water ingress if exposed to moisture for extended periods. Water ingress could cause the battery to overheat, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire. As such, this condition posed a risk of injury to vehicle occupants, road users and property. 2023 Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale: sunroof could injure occupants
In April 2024, recall campaign 6337 was issued for 2023 Alfa Romeo 965 Tonale vehicles. Due to software settings, if a vehicle occupant placed an obstruction (such as a body part) between the sunroof frame and glass as it was closing, the sunroof may not reverse until significant pressure was reached. As such, the sunroof could injure vehicle occupants. To fix, an Alfa Romeo dealer was to inspect and, if necessary, replace the sunroof motors.
