Recalls are issued for defects or faults which have the potential to cause injury. Manufacturers or importers seek to inform the original buyer if their vehicle is subject to a recall and of the steps required to remedy the defect or fault. However, manufacturers or importers may not have the contact details of subsequent owners. Please note that the recalls below are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2025-26 Hyundai LX3 Palisade: electric seat-folding software issue

In March 2026, recall campaign 61D092 was issued for 2025-26 Hyundai LX3 Palisade vehicles. Due to a software issue, the electric seat-folding mechanism for the second and third row seats may fail to detect an occupant or object, and may not stop the folding function when activated. A folding seat that did not detect an occupant increased the risk of serious injury or death during the activation to any occupant in or around the folding seat during activation of the walk-in and power-folding seat features of the vehicle. In the USA, a two-year-old girl was killed in March 2026 when a third-row seat folded forward and trapped her.

For this recall, a software update was to be applied by an authorised Hyundai dealer or over-the-air by BLUELINK. Consumers were advised to exercise caution when using the walk-in and power-folding seat features until the software update was applied. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006585.

2025 Hyundai LX3 Palisade: instrument panel software defect

In April 2026, recall campaign 61D113 was issued for 2025 Hyundai LX3 Palisade vehicles. Due to a software issue, the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may fail to illuminate the vehicle speed, fuel level and other critical safety information. A loss of safety system warnings while driving could increase the risk of a collision, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants, other road users, and bystanders. To fix, an authorised Hyundai dealer was to apply a software update. Alternatively, for vehicles equipped with BLUELINK, the update would be delivered automatically via Over-the-Air (OTA) technology. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006593.
