Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.
Recalls: Lexus AZ20 NX
2023 Lexus AZ20 NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+: high beam headlights may not work
In December 2024, recall campaign ZGGC4 was issued for 2023 Lexus AZ20 NX 350, NX 350h and NX 450h+ vehicles. Due to a programming issue, the Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) LED units and AHS Electronic Control Units (ECUs) may incorrectly detect signals for switching from low beam to high beam. If this occurred, a warning message would display and the high beam headlights would not work. If the high beam headlights failed to operate, it may reduce visibility for the driver, thereby increasing the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. Furthermore, the recalled vehicles were not compliant with Australian Design Rule 13/00 – Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006214.
