Please note that the recalls below (if any) are for Australian-delivered vehicles only. Furthermore, the number of recalls should not be taken as an indication of a model’s reliability or its safety more generally.

2020 Mercedes-Benz H247 GLA: front passenger airbag may inflate without warning

In April 2021, recall campaign RC2866 was issued for Mercedes-Benz H247 GLA vehicles that were available for sale in Australia from 1 June 2020 to 29 October 2020. The ground connection of the front passenger airbag in these vehicles may not meet specifications, such that an electrostatic charge could not be diverted via the ground connection; this could cause the front passenger airbag to deploy without a collision having occurred. If the front passenger airbag inflated in this manner, it increased the risk of a collision and injury to vehicle occupants and other road users. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see PRA 2021/18931.

2024 Mercedes-Benz H247 GLA: rear seat adjustment stop rivets may be missing

In April 2025, recall campaign RC5133 was issued for 2024 Mercedes-Benz H247 GLA vehicles. Due to a manufacturing defect, the stop rivets on the adjustment rails of the rear seats may not have been installed. This could cause the seats to move beyond the defined end position during manual adjustment. If this occurred and there was a collision or hard braking, there was an increased risk of injury to vehicle occupants. For the VINs of the recalled vehicles, please see REC-006325.
